Naked & Famous

naked & famous.jpg

Like a sweet & smokey campfire in a coupe.

This is fast becoming one of my favorite drinks, but not everyone enjoys the smokey flavour of Mezcal. A riff on Naked & Famous, called the Haunted Graffiti, is a slightly sweeter version of this drink and may be a good place to start.

I should also add as a disclaimer that Mezcal is rather expensive (in Canada, anyway). I use A Tres Caidas and I probably picked that one because it was the least expensive (~$70). The main reasons for it being so pricey has to do with it being made in remote- hard to reach areas in Mexico, and the production process being long and incredibly complexe, which make me romanticize it and enjoy it even more.

Death & co • p.185

0.75 oz mezcal
0.75 oz yellow Chartreuse
0.75 oz aperol
0.75 oz lime

Shake all the ingredients with ice, then strain into a coupe.

If you like this, you’ll probably also like
Jungle Cat • tequila, mezcal, campari, pineapple, lime, agave
Oaxaca Old Fashioned • tequila, mezcal, agave
Haunted Graffiti • mezcal, chartreuse, st-germain, lime
